You said that she has changed and that I would love the new her. But she changed for the better when she met you. She gave you all the love and care a loved one would need, she gave you the respect every person deserves. And to me she gave the pain and disappointment no one deserves. You could never imagine how it was before you met her, so don't hate me for not being able to open up to her again. We both know two different versions of her.

Summer ended and school started. I went back home, met all of my old dear friends. I started going out to my favorite places that we went to before and I do all of the things that bring me joy, in my free time. The feeling is nostalgic. It wraps me up in a layer of warmth and love. But at the very same time it feels so very new to me. I feel much different. More mature, more experienced...More happy. So everything that I did before feels so close to home yet so new and exciting. I would say it's quite nice. :))

You really changed my view of the world in the most fundamental way possible. I used to think that no one would harm me in such a way. At least no one that presented himself in the way that you do. It shows that even the most beautiful packages can be full of shit.

Summer dreams in Venice 🇮🇹 . this was taken about 4 years ago now. It was cold, rain storming, December, not your ideal season to go walk in Lake Michigan. I had 6 inch bangs. I was a freshman in college in a music program I didn’t feel was right. I picked up my best friend @_.isabel.___ and we drove an hour+ to go to this park where we spent the day just wandering in the pockets of fog and heavy rain. I, for whatever reason, felt the urge to go and walk in the freezing lake water and I stood there for 20 minutes or more. I don’t know what it was about it but something called to me. Isabel captured some really great shots of me from the beach in different spots as I walked the shoreline for awhile. I still look back on this day and treasure it. Duffy lyrics always seem to pair well with these photos and mood.
