Ok, to any Cloud fans in here, I just need to make sure.
Y'all know that Cloud wants to become SOLDIER because of Tifa, not Sephiroth, right?
It's very important that ppl understand that. Idc if you prefer another narrative, I just need to make sure y'all do read what's written.
Cos I swear to god, the amount of (SOME, NOT ALL! IF YOU DON'T DO THIS, DON'T ASSUME THAT I'M TALKING ABOUT YOU! I'M NOT) ff7 "fans" saying the other way is driving me insane. It's literally spelled out on screen. How could ppl still miss that? And if they do it on purpose, do they know that just makes them look dumb as hell? Do they??
Just read, READ!!!!
people need to learn the difference between ARTISTIC nudity and SEXUAL nudity
Let me say one thing; the kinktober discourse. I know there's always been opposing oppinions, love it hate it whatever, but this year shit has gotten way out of hand. Kinktober is an 18+ event (if you are under 18 and want to read or participate then please don't put that target on your head by saying so everywhere you go) therefore if you are not 18+ then you don't get to discuss it. Kink is for adults, to be discussed by adults, kinktober is a space to freely explore in fiction that which you might not otherwise. So long as a kink, any kink, literally anything at all, is properly discussed and negotiated between two (or more) CONSENTING ADULTS then it is fine and even healthy. Role-playing between CONSENTING ADULTS is fine, any type of roleplay, no matter how distasteful or disgusting or immoral it seems to YOU.
That being said when it comes to fiction things are MUCH looser, your moral objections can take a hike here. Don't like don't read, don't look, don't seek it out, block and move on with your life. And if you're one of those "but this just shouldn't exist at all" people, then grow up. This is the internet, all things exist whether you want them to or not. It's YOUR job to keep YOU and any of your dependants safe online. If you are not mature enough to take responsibility for the things you will come across online (because you will see some stuff you didn't want to see, you will learn thing you could have gone your whole life without knowing) then you should not be there in the first place. You cannot control that other people post online, but you CAN controle how you curate your own experience.
Take ao3 for example; it has shit that I fucking can't stand in swathes. But I just BLOCK THE TAGS instead of getting all high and mighty about it.
I'm so sick of you virtue signaling, fandom police, purists. Here, look I'll even make a skin for you and attach it to this post. Clean AO3. Does that solve your problem?
They're not queerbaiting, they're shipbaiting, the show has queer characters but the people you want to see smushing faces aren't smushing faces.
Ella Bright is addressing "people's concern" on the almost decade-long age gap between her and her Off Campus co-star, Belmont Cameli.
A couple of days ago I posted this rant about people's "concern" about Ella and Belmont's age gap.
I've noticed over the last couple of days that outsiders, and of course the media for clickbait, are playing up the age difference between Ella and Belmont. Trying to infantalize Ella because it takes her agency away. She is an actress. She was fully aware what the story entailed. There was an intimacy coordinator on set for the more steamy scenes. She also considers Belmont a dear friend. She is not some child that needs to be protected.
Ella talked about it in a new podcast. I love that she stood up for Belmont. On the other hand I'm also mad that this got made into such a big deal by people who wanted to add an ick factor to the show.
“Listen, I came into this job and during the chemistry reads with more than enough information and knowledge and understanding of what this role required,” Bright said on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast. “I just fell in love with Hannah and these scripts immediately. Like, there was never a question that I wouldn’t want to do this.” Bright added, “I get people’s concern, but also not once did I feel left out from being younger than everybody. We’re all such a family, and everyone was just more than perfect, and I couldn’t be more comfortable on this set with these people.” The actress who plays Hannah in the series adaptation based on the Elle Kennedy book series noted that “it is funny when they say that,” but says, “I’m good. I’m completely good.” Before signing on to the series, showrunner Louisa Levy made sure the actors were aware of the steamier aspects of the adaptation. “Her idea was that for Hannah the briefing was like partial nudity and for Allie [Mike Abdalla] it had to be full, just because Allie, she’s got this amazing confidence about her, and she is so free with her body,” Bright said. “And sex is just such an important part of her life. It is honestly just showing the difference between these characters.” Bright noted that “everyone had full understanding of what we were going into.” Off Campus follows Hannah Wells and Garrett Graham’s “fake romantic relationship,” which turns into a real romantic one after they fall for each other.
LARPING is when you say you like something but dont even know what its about.
GETTING INTO SOMETHING is when you don't know much about something but you've just started reading/playing/watching it so you can see if you like it or not
ACTUAL larping is when you roleplay as someone irl
