Things have been super complicated, sad, and stressful. I had to move back in with my parents for 2 weeks, then move into a new apartment. It threw off so much of my training with Captain, and set us back for sure. It's been hard to work with him because of the situation I'm still slowly dealing with, but we had good progress today. Captain is 'dog-dumb' reactive. He has really bad social skills when first meeting a new dog, and has gotten better but still has a lot of work ahead. Today my really sweet friend Henry wanted to take his newish little pup Juniper on a walk with Captain. I thought Captain might get possessive over Henry, or not do well in the initial greeting, but he was great! His arousal was a little too high twice, but he recovered so well! It's nice to see that we didn't loose all our progress. I see a lot of play dates in their future.
