NGC 7000 - North American Nebula
2,000 light years from Earth in the constellation of Cygnus lies the North American Nebula (sometimes called the Pelican Nebula). It covers an area 10 times that of a full moon, however it's surface brightness is dim, so is impossible to view without very specialised equipment.
The diffuse nebula is bombarded by ultra violet light from new stars, some behind the dark nebula that runs through the middle.

NGC 595 — a diffuse nebula in the Triangulum Galaxy
NGC 595 is is a gigantic region of ionised hydrogen in the Triangulum Galaxy, about three million light-years away.
The nebula was discovered by the German astronomer Heinrich Ludwig d'Arrest on 1 October 1864.
