Capturing this split-second tranquility required the slow, deliberate dance of manual focusing, using the venerable Asahi Pentax SMC Takumar 105mm f/2.8 lens. Interestingly, lenses with the Super-Multi-Coating (SMC) technology from the 1970s possess an incredible ability to control internal reflections and ghosting, rendering vibrant colors and rich contrast with a raw, organic quality that modern digital lenses often smooth out.
