Creating a Million Dollar Brand From Scratch (P1) - My Indiacrafts Experience

It is the month of June & around this time I generally take some decisions & do change the path of my life somewhat. But this year is not at all like the year before neither it is like any year since I can remember. This year I am a lot positive & things I have planned is finally moving along especially one project. Last summer was a very big frustration for me & I know how I had to give up my dream Digidocs project. But having said that last year around the month of June & July I have created another business which is finally giving me some spring in my steps. Though it is not yet one year old & it has not become a very big brand yet bIt i am sure within two to three-year I am going to make it the biggest handicraft brand in the country & 10 years down the line I will make it the biggest brand in the world.

The brand I am talking about is none other than INDIACRAFTS (www.india-crafts.in). As i said before it is barely 8 months when we started full-scale operation & by today we have already shipped our products to more than 12 countries & with a customer base of more than 10000. The numbers may not be in millions as of now but the fact Crafts is not a need & still more than 10000 customer is a real achievement. Revenue or Profit may not be in billions but I know we have served more than 10k smiles already & as they say "The Game Has Just Began". Today i would like to share how we achieved all this in a short story.

It all began when i decide to justify Pipili Chandua the respect it deserves in international Level. By the way it is world famous craft & only found in Pipili, Odisha. So i knew from the day one i had a great product only thing required it how to make it a need for people.

We took some decisions that was really important & made us create profit from nothing.

How to Create a Animated Video for Your Company for Free.

Hi guys, This blog will teach you how prepare a high quality & international standard video for FREE. There is no catch here. Remember a normal length of any animated video is 60-90 sec. So don’t go beyond that.

Step 1

Write a short & crispy script. The script is highly essential for for building any video or brand. So prepare a script highlighting the problem or issue the customer are facing, what is the solution for that & more importantly how you are going to address it. If you find any issue how to prepare a video script then you can find many examples from google.

Step 2

Now, you need to go for the voice-over. Voice over means simply converting the script in to quality audio that will be used while your animation will be played. So using a cool voice is highly recommended here.

Generally there are many Company who does this job at a very high charge but my recommendation is use this link to convert your text in to voice-over.

Step 3

Use a high quality background music. It actually gives your voice-over a official feel. By the way Voice-over & Background music can be merged by Audacity software, which is actually available for free in open source. Once you prepare that, it means your audio file is ready.

Step 4

Now it is the time to prepare the video. So visit here , it is again free, So signup & proceed. Now use the right kind of templates for your need & modify them whenever necessary. Remember single template is generally 3-5 sec time slot, So you need to exactly match the slides as per your Pre-recorded audio.

This is the most time taking & difficult task to do trial & error so many times but you have to do it in order to get a high quality video.

1. Zoho.in basically a website template provider like wix.xom, weebly.com or wordpress.com but only difference it is very easy to use & it is totally free including the Domain Name. So it means you are getting a proper website absolute free including the Domain name.

So now you need to decide which template you should use, how to list your product, where to write the description & many other things. In short now you have to customize the website as per your need. But you are still missing the most important part & that is price of the product & how to buy it.

2. Instamojo.com , If you don’t know about instamojo then it is an Indian version of payment Gateway site like PayPal but very easier to use & customization. So what you need to do here is you need to subscribe their Payment Gateway Service, they again don’t charge any upfront fees. So you will get the payment gateway for Free.

That is not all, here you need to remember one thing, suppose you are keeping 100 items in your Online store then you need to create 100 Gateway buttons along with you unique code, (refer India-crafts.in & click any purchase button) so that if anyone makes a purchase then you will able to know about it. If you won’t do that then it will be impossible to keep the track of the product sold.
