MAN art block hit me like a ton of bricks- but I'm getting back into it slowly! I made a playmat of my boy Rockermon, I'm loving how he turned out. Gonna show up to a tournament with this mf in a few weeks and nobodys gonna know him but me lol
I swear this comparison made a lot more sense in my head.
A remake of a digixros form I made back in 2014. Super happy with the result.
A DigiXros of Dorbickmon and Paildramon,
It costs 100 bits x your digimon level per material to digifuse.
lv 5 w/5 material is 2500 bits
lv 50 w/5 material 25000 bits
Did People Actually Like Digimon Fusion?
Over the past two months or so I've watched through the whole Digimon series (some seasons again, others for the first time), and I'm currently on Digimon Fusion and about halfway done with it. I was a bit skeptical when I got to Data Squad just because it had been soooo long since I last saw a Digimon series. I'd re watched seasons 1-4 multiple times over the years, but honestly the last time I saw a Digimon series brand new to me was at least five years ago with Frontier. Needless to say, I was a little biased in the name of nostalgia. But I ended up loving Data Squad. I might just say it's one of my favorite seasons. So naturally after I finished that, I moved on to Digimon Fusion to finish watching the entirety of the series, and halfway through, I'm just not feeling it. This concept of Fusion could have been interesting, but it's really not. Just about every fusion combination that Mikey has looks like a tiny little variation on the last. And the fact that they couldn't get a more interesting name than Shoutmon x4-something is really disheartening. The way I see it, the only reason Digimon Fusion is a mildly entertaining show is because it actually has some interesting antagonists/villains/locations. The overall plot is kinda meh and the main cast of protagonists is pretty lifeless. I'm consistently more entertained by the Bagra army, by the quirky antagonists the kids encounter in the various Zones, and by Nene and Christopher, and just the different Zones than I am by Mikey, Shoutmon, or any of the other kids. The main cast of Digimon all have some interesting potential. Shoutmon is a hothead with plenty of entertainment value, except he doesn't get as much limelight as you'd think the lead Digimon would receive. Angie and Jeremy, thus far, are pretty pointless. The show's creators tried so hard to fit the archetypes of past Digidestined into Mikey that he ends up being none of them, kinda like how no matter how many colors of paint you mix, you'll end up with a simple black. Aside from Shoutmon, even the other "partner" Digimon are somewhat interesting. Dorulumon seems to have the most potential, but given such a large cast and the short, 30-episodes of the season, there just isn't a lot of room to make him shine. The same goes for the so many other Digimon who join Mikey and his friends, except they are at a much lower baseline standard of interesting. Digimon Fusion isn't a bad a show, but for me, it is easily the weakest season of Digimon. Granted, I still have about ten more episodes to watch, but I can't imagine it'll get much better if they hadn't been able to get it right in the first two-thirds of the season. Here's to looking forward to Digimon Adventure tri.
