Since it's almost Halloween, felt like watching something a bit spooky, and can I just mention how I'm still stunned this scene came from goddamn Digimon of all things, and not a horror series directed towards an older teen/adult audience? Like, yeah, normally the series runs a fair bit darker than Pokemon, but "man gets all cuddly with the ZeedMillenniummon-possessed corpse of his fiance; he even brings wine" was still pretty shocking from a kids' anime. (Like, this is an early-morning anime block in Japan, from what I recall.)

Kinda get the same vibe from these two things with some disaster coming millenniums away and the two reactions to it being "Oh that's forever from now" and "AAAAA IT'S ALMOST HERE!" immediately jumping the gun into panic mode 😂

These guys deserved better than they got in the end 😓 Would have loved seeing these two too, but maybe we might see a movie or something one day, 2000 years, give or take. 🤷‍♀️

And that’s where the episode ends, with Siriusmon getting a hole blown thru his chest.

I will say, despite my somewhat negative thoughts on this finale arc, the animation during their battle is gorgeous.

Favorite human/Digimon partnership from any Digimon anime yet tbh

The way they play off each other is just really fun.

Diarbbitmon and Amphimon not really even getting the opportunity to do anything this fight (they've barely done anything since evolving), no sign of the crystal, the animation is gorgeous and seeing Gammamon, the Champion forms, and Canoweissmon being utilized in the fight is cool, but I'm still a bit underwhelmed.

I really hope for a season two.
