aka my deeply self indulgent au where bubble is actually the single remaining maintenance developer on c&a's completely ethical and above-board virtual reality/psychological torture project. this explains why he comes and goes, seems to be entirely uncontrolled by the ringmaster he assists, and can bypass the swear filter at will. okay theres no actual canonical basis for this theory, i just think its really funny

he does know about the whole trapping people in a computer until they lose their minds and die thing to be clear. he just doesnt care cuz well... its bubble
