News Corp Australia axes afternoon tabloid

Sydney, May 29 : News Corporation has axed its MX Australian free afternoon newspaper due to digital competition.

The youth-orientated paper was launched in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane in 2001 and designed to strengthen News Corp’s dedication to the print medium.

Joy of Cha gets eircom Digital boost

The Joy of Cha is the first winner of eircom’s Digital Boost competition. Digital Boost is an eircom initiative to help SME owners increase their digital presence and maximise their online potential.

The Temple Bar tea shop founded by Dara Gallagher and Sergey Letsko, sells more than 50 different types of teas from all over the world.

'We are especially looking forward to the development of our website. Our shop is quite small which means we can only display a fraction of the products we sell. We know with a meaningful online presence we can drive online sales and also encourage customers to visit the shop,' says Letsko.

'An integrated eCommerce platform coupled with a strong digital marketing strategy will really enhance their business,' says Gary Disley, eircom.

The value of the prize is €10,000.
