Sean Burner and Francesca Gomez featured in the Art Street experience. This exhibit/installation/creation opened me up. In a 30,000 sq ft warehouse, 80 artists collaborated on creating a series of installations commemorating our friends who have died while homeless (including the ways in which the city has undermined ways to get food, clothing and shelter to those in need), mosaics of local moss you are invited to touch and experience for yourself our surrounding biomes, rooms where you are surrounded by the products of another person's experience, an alleyway lined with fences where neighbors voices float over and participants find themselves pressing their ear to the wood to hear the words, creations by my friends and community that are an evolution of projects we worked on together. Every possible direction you could look had something created to ask you a question about yourself and how you engage with life. I might edit this post to include more photos once I have access to my computer. Sean Burner starts his work on the left side of the wall. Francesca starts on the right. They flow toward the center, each taking on qualities of the other until they blend together and create a new style altogether.
