Make stunning art on the iPad with these top tools! These powerful painting and drawing apps can help you start creating iPad art today!
After graduating from CSUF as a digital illustrator in 2012, I loved the whole concept that we could paint everything “digitally.” However, the only options at the time were purchasing expensive softwares and buying a bamboo tablet that used a stylist pen.
What I love about technology is that it’s rapidly changing in something better every year. Whether you’re using iPads or a quality made tablet, both now posses the capability of using a stylist pen right on top of the screen.
All you need now is some good apps. Take a look at this next article which offers some great suggestions. Some some of these programs will be paid while others are free with some advertising. Remember to follow me if you like my posts.
In search of some inspiration? Then we have the movies for you!
Let’s step away from art, illustration, and the need to create for a second. Sometimes it’s good to unwind and take in new forms of inspiration. I usually find my source of comfort through movies.
I sometimes find myself thinking about the composition, choices in colors, and questioning the overall story line. It could be that it’s because I’m constantly thinking of how I can apply it to my digital illustration artwork.
One thing that I do have to point out is that It doesn’t always half to be blockbuster movies. Sometimes you can find great ideas through online streaming providers. Take a look at this next article that offers some fun story lines in Netflix.
What drawing program do you use?
I primarily use Photoshop CC along with a Cintiq 21UX to draw and paint digitally. My favorite brush set to use is the Jonas de Ro brush set, since it has clear explanations for each brush that are easy to pick out in the brush viewer and has so many versatile uses.
Creative Cloud isn’t as bad as a lot of folks say. The Photography plan from Adobe is only $9.99 a month. The program receives all new features and updates, which are generally improvements and useful additions. I also enjoy the pro sub to Behance and 2 GB of cloud storage it comes with. Lightroom has gone pretty much ignored, even though it comes with my plan.
