WARP DIGIVOLUTION
One of the most common criticisms of ye olde 'Digimon World' I have seen goes like "Oh Noes the digivolution system is so arbitrary and complex and cryptic and unpredictable and frustrating it's almost impossible to get the digiman you want :( :( :("
And, like, I think that's kinda the point? That sounds like a selling point to me not a design mistake. It's supposed to be like a personality test (within the bizarre system). You will DISCOVER what judgment you will receive from that world, and changing your fate is actual work complete with grueling exploration and research and yes, reading actual guides.
That's also a beautiful life lesson. You may assume that trusting your instincts, doing what comes naturally, doing what you think is common-sense work, will reward you with some big awesome dinosaur, but it might very well give you Numenon instead, and that's pretty neat?
And if you specifically want something else than what you got I'm afraid there is a lot of research, annoying training routines and need for outside help (and even then no guarantee of success) in your future.
(The Digimon Adventure anime might have given you false expectations, but consider: those kids were literally "Digi-destined", heroes from prophecy; your experience may differ.)
I feel like Armor Digivolution is underused becuse of when in the franchise it was introduced. The Digimon Adventure era was very much in the midset that a Digimon can't beat a Digimon of higher level (unless your name is Angemon) so the Armor Digivolutions got obsoleted as soon as the 02 cast unlocked their proper Adult/Champion levels and only came back for transportation purposes. Some of the newer shows, like Ghost Game and especially Beatbreak (even to an extent Tamers with the card slashes) let Digimon win against Digimon of higher level all the time because they focus on tactics and power-ups from the human partners rather than just evolving as high as possible. I think that if Armor Digivolution were introduced in one of the later shows it would be a lot more versatile and stick around for a lot longer as opposed to becoming obsolete when higher levels are introduced.
Now I kind of want to design Armor Digivolutions for the Beatbreak partners

I saw a manga panel of Gabumon that made him look a lot like a labubu. It sent me down a rabbit hole of making this art of probably the number one fan of gabumon labubus.
At long last, we finally got Armalizamon! The Champion form looks incredible and the new song that goes along with it is goes super hard!
I say the wait was absolutely worth it, finally the whole team have their Digimon's Champion forms unlocked. But that means future enemies are going to be even more powerful. Digimon Beatbreak continues to be amazing!

You know, as sacrilegious as it is, I was always disappointed that Gatomon evolved into Angewomon, so I thought I'd make my own evolution!
we just came like ten seconds from having a dark evolution happen in the THIRD EPISODE tomoro you are a WILD guy
