yep ugh once ppl are approx my age/older i just stop having patience, it’s harder just to sigh & shake ur head

My other favorite thing is the accusation of kids these days just being too educated when like most people I know talking about this stuff learned the way I did, a.k.a. through conversations with other people.

And then like when someone points out they don't have a formal education on this their lived experiences are considered invalid too, it's almost like this is set up so we can't win.

I try to cut the youth some slack, because they have a higher likelihood of having actually missed the numerous conversations we have had about fandom fuckery, but the minute some self-proclaimed fandom elder starts reminiscing about the good old days of fandom my patience thins.
