Unpopular opinion 💭 Mothers aren’t *better* than anyone else just for having given birth 🙃 No person is instantly a good parent bc they happen to have children. Plenty of mothers don’t deserve this automatic day of praise. My parents are some of those who never should’ve reproduced. Turned us into their mini-maids, mini-punching bag, mini-therapists, mini-whatever - whenever they needed, to lean on or abuse, property to be treated how they saw (un)fit. Coming to terms with a lot of harmful yet normalized behavior has been really difficult, I’m so glad I got away when I did so I could see my life for what it was. No more secrets.
