silas honestly, truly didn't understand himself sometimes. he knew the mischief dante was up to on a regular basis, he knew being in public with him anywhere was riskier than fighting a damn bear with his bare hands. yet, here he was, sat at the tavern - next to dante, which surely had turned some heads, but silas had paid that no mind. he was sure people were talking about him whatever he did - so whether he started a fight with dante, or seemed almost calm around him. someone would always see something in that.

there was one thing though, that he regretted deeply, really. dante caught him off-guard, the ale letting his guard fall uncharacteristically low, the company ... pleasant, mostly. which is why he .. didn't see it coming. one moment someone was talking, the next he had his an alpha stretch ridiculously far, past him, almost fricken' laying on the table before them, showing off that ridiculously tasty neck, an elbow on silas' thigh - only to retrieve an untouched mug of ale.

"you couldn't just ask?" of course not, why would he ask when he knew that this - that hand on his thigh & watching his stupidly hot body lean over him ... would do things to silas only very, very few people could pull off.

silas was still catching his breath, utterly satisfied & unbelievably content for the moment, but dante was moving next to him & his words were like daggers in his side. raising his head, he glanced up to look at the other when he spoke. but he didn't speak. he.. wasn't quite sure how.

"...wait." fingers wrapped around the alpha's wrist, holding him in place, in bed. "uhh." soft groan, his eyes counting loose strings of paper on the wall. "you ...should rest. here." he must be tired, yeah. silas couldn't just let him stumble home, yes, exactly.
