Diluc - Jealous headcanons
Pairing(s): Diluc x reader
Summary: uhhh headcanons and short scenarios about Diluc because I am absolutely in love with this man
I don’t think he’d get jealous like he doesn’t trust you, I think he’d have to trust you a lot to date you and that carries into the relationship, but it’s the other person.
I feel like he’d be a little insecure?
Like not super insecure but he’d definitely doubt himself and kind of think like what if they leave me
But since it’s Diluc, he’s not gonna say that, he’ll probably come up to you and whoever you’re talking to and put like an arm around your waist if you seem comfortable, and try and give subtle hints that he wants you guys to leave
On the other hand, if you seem uncomfortable he’ll definitely come up to you and the person and kind of stare them down if it’s somewhere in public
If it’s in his tavern though,,
He’s asking them to leave straight away
Afterwards, he’ll definitely keep and arm or just hand on you at all times
Towards the beginning of the relationship it’d be hard to notice if you’re not very attentive
But after a month or so of dating you could pick up on his habits and you’d know when he’s jealous
“Y/N?” a familiar voice called out to you from across the tavern. You had just been cleaning up the bar, since there were just about 10 minutes until you and Diluc were going to close up. But, as fate would have it, Kaeya had just appeared. Nervously, you glanced over at the clock, watching the hands slowly tick towards the next hour, your closing time.
“Kaeya! We were actually just about to close down-” you started to explain, just wanting to get into bed with your lover, before you were interrupted by the blue haired man.
“It’s alright Y/N, I’ll be out of your hair in a few minutes, just running an errand for Jean.” Kaeya flashed a smile your way as you sat down, waiting for the knight to get whatever he needed. While Kaeya rustled around in the cabinet of different alcohols, you heard Diluc walk down the stairs.
“My love, are you alri-” the red head locked eyes with Kaeya, “Hello Kaeya, what do you want?” His tone had shifted to slightly bothered, he was being held up again. You rested your hand on his forearm, shooting him a quick look as if to tell him that Kaeya will be gone soon.
“Ah, just running an errand for Jean, but now that I’m here,” Kaeya pulled out a chair, “How’ve you been Y/N?” Diluc had already gotten behind the bar, supervising Kaeya to make sure he didn’t take anything too expensive.
“Just the usual, running the tavern with Diluc, a few commissions here and there.” You replied, a small smile on your face. You and Kaeya had been friends for a bit when you helped out the Knights of Favonius on a few commissions, and you hadn’t had the chance to talk to him much since then.
“That’s good, remember to take care of yourself, ok Y/N, can’t have you dying now, can we?” He teased, referring to when you almost died on a commission with Kaeya and Amber. You chuckled lightly, taking a sip from your drink.
After you and Kaeya chatted for about 5 more minutes, you noticed Diluc wrapping his arm around your waist, looking up at the clock every so often.
“Alright Kaeya, I think it’s about time you leave.” firmly stated Diluc, standing up and putting his hand on Kaeya’s shoulder, guiding him out of the tavern.
“Woah Diluc, can’t I talk to your beautiful partner for a bi-” and the door was slammed right in the Knight’s face. He was clearly a bit tipsy, and Diluc was sick of him flirting while you were absolutely oblivious.
“Diluc, what was that for?” You questioned softly, rubbing your obviously distressed husband’s shoulders.
“Nothing, don’t worry about it, love.” He kissed your knuckles absent-mindedly, before making his way to your shared bedroom.
After you had both changed into your sleeping garments, and you turned off the final lamp in the rustic room, the two of you fell into the soft bed. Diluc began tracing shapes on your back, as you had noticed he does when he’s thinking.
“What’s on your mind dear?” you whispered, looking up at his moonlit face, his amber eyes hazing over in deep thought.
“You wouldn’t leave me would you?” he asked, more to himself than to you, even though his eyes were focused on yours.
“No, of course not!” you slightly propped yourself up on your elbow. Your lover seemed to let out a breath of relief, you both falling into a comfortable silence. Silently, you had a debate with yourself whether you should ask why he would ask that. In the end, you had come to your final decision.
“This isn’t about Kaeya, is it?” Diluc’s fingers suddenly stop moving on your back.
“It is.” he sighed, as you genuinely listened, “He was all over you today, and you were so either oblivious or enjoying it, it frustrated me.” Slowly, you sat up and leaned over the love of your life, cradling his face in your hand,
“I would never leave you, I don’t think I could if I wanted to Diluc, you’re the best thing that’s happened to me,” You kissed his forehead, “I adore you,” his left cheek, “Everything about you,” his right cheek, “And you complete me,” You finally kissed his soft lips, both of you melting into each other. As your head rested on the man’s chest, you could hear him asleep, and you softly smiled to yourself. Things couldn't get any better than this.
