It is very interesting to note the shape of our hands. The thumb ends just halfway up and is different from the rest. It allows us to grip things better than most animals, and allows for a great deal of manipulation of the surrounds to be done. Surely there must be some inherent mathematical coincidence, because the fourth direction, Time, is a cross-sectional view of work being done. Clearly, work has a number of possible outcomes-- we observe probability and chaos in the dimensions of the work we see acting-- and so this 5th dimension is planar. Work is not just moving in this one direction we see, it is also moving in other directions. However, this is only relevant to our lives as we direct the path of work to our choosing, leaving history behind us.
In the 6th dimension we have an added axis, just as with any orthogonal movement. I use the term 'locus of origin' because the way I understand 6-space is if my possible environment were different, how would that affect my planar 5D reasoning? If, say, my zygote split into two separate twins in utero, the 5D paths of work would be very, very different!
If we are to talk about the 7th dimension, we would be talking about every single such consequence. Consider a 3D room, paused in time. It has energy, though, so it must move forward on a timeLINE as a single point. That is what this entire 3D space is doing right now as it explicates. Just so, all possible outcomes develop in consequence. The 7th dimension is linear-- it is the sum of all possible possibilities since the Big Bang. Essentially, it is this Universe's infinity or timeline, and ever since inception it includes everything that happened in this Universe; the wake of your birth is contained in this 'line'. I tend to think of it more in terms of consequence. If you like etymology, you may see why.
The 8th dimension is where I always tend to lose focus. It seems extrapolating this far is simply an observance of the fractal universe, and I start to question-- is this just the result of consciousness refracting its own energy? Am I just looking down some hall of mirrors? Ha, it would seem that is just as real as anything else. You know what, I'm sorry I went there. Ouch.
Anyway, the 8th dimension. It would seem to be the idea that alternate Universes can exist, and the 'groove' that ours runs along-- the natural progression and flux of THIS SET of the Laws of Physics-- is NOT the only direction the Universes move. I wonder, though... If you move far enough on that 7D line, would you end up right next to yourself, in a very similar situation? Just like the shortcut with the ant and newspaper, the 8D seems to be.
Further still orthogonally from our lives is the 9th dimension. Even more, even stranger possibilities are contained in this space. Every bead of logic we hold so dear falls apart in this extremely high-energy wavelength. 'Laws of Physics'? Try 'Unlaws of Anywhatever'. I cannot comprehend anything in the 9th dimension, all I know is that I exist and it is relevant to me in some way. I feel a strange attraction to it, almost like I want to be born again, like a phoenix...
We have ten fingers and appear to be right in the middle. Or does it appear to be right in the middle of us? Paradox confuses us. Paradox illuminates us. And it projects us into the 9th dimension. The 10th dimension would seem to be just the same as the first-- an infinite line, and when it vibrates, it shakes up everything. All can be coded in terms of information. One and Zero. All or nothing, baby.
Entropy is an interesting thing to consider within all of this. Look around you. Humans seem to be this knot within less animate space. Consciousness projects upwards in this strange variable, not flat, penetrating, allowed to rise up in complexity as things started to coalesce. The idea that we are anchored in the middle, the idea that Atheism is just turning your back to the ideal of a God, it causes me to realize that life is simply a gift. Albeit strange and unfair, it is just allowed to hover in suspense for a while, and isn't that sweet? We are left to wonder why like toys on a child's floor given life. Chaos swirls from the most distant reaches right into your very ego! We are a mix of two colors. Everything, I am.
