These are from mushrooms I gathered from a cemetery:

I like to let the mushrooms I gather make it rain on the paper overnight. I like the dense prints they make, even if it warps the paper a bit. Then I let them dry for a day or more, and hit em with fixtative. 🍄🖤🍄

Hey Journal.

Recently things have been alright, we’re pulling ourself (?) together again. It definitely feels like the mental health symptoms have gotten worse than they used to be since... about San Antonio. The sensation is weird, like sleeping is worse and with that there’s a light-headed feeling. But at the same time, we’ve improved in other areas.

Today I was thinking about how we probably avoid accomplishment because we fear not getting enough done, not measuring up. We fear the disappointment. So I guess it’s a defense mechanism, a kind of siding with death. But it’s way too early to be thinking like that. I want to be fighting the good fight until the universe forces us to stop. So we’re putting in job applications, we’re feeling more positive, we’re writing, we’re playing guitar again. Hey-- we goofed off. We danced by ourself. It’s all good homie, respect yourself, you deserve it.

We started today beautifully, by the way. We took a little walk to Wawa and got the family $10 gift cards. They’re gonna be surprised! We could’ve used that money to get some pot, girly clothes, music equipment, an uber somewhere... Nope! I need my family to know I love them and I think about them when they’re at work. They’ve all been very, very sweet.

Walking down Broad Street, we passed some old mattresses. Since we noticed some headlights approaching, we bounced on the mattresses five times and then kept walking like nothing happened. It was fucking great xD We were listening to that Mayday Parade Song, “One for the Rocks, One for the Scary” :o

Did you know? We’re very brave.

Heeey Journal,

Welllll, these sure are some fucked up lazy days we’re living. We have this constant feeling that we should be doing way better than we’re doing. We should be applying to jobs... We’re waiting to find out about the Escape and if it’s fixable. If it’s not, we’re going to have to make it happen on a bike again.

It’s gonna be live again. Don’t worry, journal. We’ll see the other side of this.

We spent today working on a recent composition of ours. We’re notating everything as we make changes to it. It’s pretty unique, maybe we’ll show it to Mr. K when we’re done? The whole process is really helping re-awaken our musical brain. So at least we’re spending time doing what we love. Step by step.
