Hemostasis

Harold’s eyes flew open, breath caught in his throat. Without thinking, he swung his legs over the side of his bed and hurried out of the room and into the hallway. He peeked into his room to see Anderson still in his bed before navigating through the dark apartment along a path he could follow with his eyes closed.

The noises were coming from outside. Harold peeked out the window, only to see a silhouette hunched over the trash bin.

No more wasting time. The man threw the door open, throwing up his hand the second he stepped outside, using his powers to keep the stranger’s muscles still.
