O.O I'm so sorry you have to deal with this and that your honesty only brought more of it down on you. I love your stories just as they are. I actually just started TMMOT for the third time last night.
*hug* thank you. Yeah... I was flabbergasted by their response to my message last night. I guess maybe Tumblr has spoiled me to expect people to respect triggers.

Eww.. so many things about this commenter are horrible and I am sorry you had to be subjected to such vitriol. Your stories are a gift, literally and figuratively. I can't imagine anyone reading your stories and find anything lacking.
<3 Thank you! This was definitely the worst of the worst when it comes to fic comments. Thankfully, most people are lovely and say kind things like what you just said. <3

Thanks so much for making me feel better. I still feel guilty for saying that to you but knowing you understood my stupid dumb idiotic mistake makes me feel a tad bit better. I was trying to make you feel better after that other horrible comment but you were more than gracious to me. Thanks for sharing.
You’re welcome. And thank you for your kind comments, too. I really appreciated it.

Sounds a LOT like a review I got basically telling me I should give readers what they want and then getting pissed off saying I clearly didn't read what they said and they wouldn't read anymore of my stories if I was going to be "immature" about it. Like... a lot a lot. Like I wonder if it's the same person a lot tbh. Anyways you know my views on writing smut and this frankly is rude and ridiculous. I'm so sorry you had to go through it
Hmmm... On ff.net, Sam? There are definitely a few entitled readers out there who think it’s their right to give fics the NYT book review treatment. <_< Look, when I’m an old white dude retired from my professor job writing a novel about being an old white professor dude, then you can give me the NYT review. Until then... nope.
(I mean... being serious, I do accept all review like this on my novels and never ever comment on them because that’s part of being a novelist. But being a fic author is different. Writing fic is different from writing a book. Your relationship with the reader is fundamentally changed by the fact that they paid for your work.)
And yeah, I figured you would sympathise with the whole notion of being pressured to write smut, and the insidious way this person went about it. Thank you!
