Call me Rinari. This is where I let out my inner (queer) fangirl. Expect lots of sci-fi, female characters and the gorgeous actresses who play them, shipping, angst, and fanfiction, with occasional dashes of social commentary, gaming, and fantasy cat races. Also on AO3.

But centuries of unlife make for layers of secrets, and trust is hard to come by. The world is running out of time, and they will both have larger roles to play than either of them ever wanted…

Y'all. This art. I have no words. This is amazing and absolutely how I picture them. M'aiq'a's ears pinned back! The way they're fighting side-by-side, protecting each other's flanks! The gorgeous colors! M'aiq'a's curls and Hlenea/Jaime's sleek hair! So much detail on the armor. I am so humbled by this work and it is absolutely an inspiration to me. As I said, if I hadn't already had the idea to write the fic, this would have inspired it. *incoherent squeeing*

Hey! Bit late (sorry!) but this is your Bering and Wells Gift Exchange gifter! I'm a writer, and open to writing pretty much everything, provided it gets a happy ending. Is there anything that you'd like to see or not see in a gift fic?

Hrm. I have to say, I'm out of practice in receiving gifts. I usually don't do these things, for various personal reasons. XD

I'm trying not to simply throw a whole plot at you and go "write this to my specifications or else!"

- AUs. I go crazy for AUs. Reimagine the characters, put them in a whole new world, with a whole new backstory and setting and everything, and show me how they're still *them.* (That being said, mundane AUs, with no magic/supernatural/sci-fi elements at all, are sometimes hit-or-miss.)

- My head is currently very "stuck" in space exploration/alien contact sci-fi universes. Think Avatar (the James Cameron blue people) or Star Trek or Alien or sentient robot terraformers turning on their creators or...

- I'll never say no to fake relationships/marriage of convenience/otherwise bound together by outside circumstances.

- For some reason one of them being a proud sentient beast that is traditionally ridden, and the other a hapless rider, is quite funny to me. "A Horse and His Boy" might be the template here, or some sort of shapeshifting.

- All the Pining. I will accept even ridiculous levels of pining and being obstinate about not engaging for the very stupidest of reasons that a character can paint out in their own spiraling mind.

- Angst is fine, smut is fine, even "weird" smut is fine — delectable, even. (I will refer you to my AO3 under Rinari7 for reference material.)

Use with Caution:

(Meaning, I don't hate all of these all the time but it very much depends on the implementation.)

- Terminal/Chronic Medical Conditions (sensitive subject given my past year IRL)

- Christina/Kidfic (I don't want kids, and I think Myka should be allowed to not want kids. Some instances of Christina are cute, e g. in apparitionism's "Travel" and Attila's "that fluffy cop AU," but please don't let the kid take center stage. She is a plot device, a motivator, part of Helena's backstory, and a potential point of conflict.)

- Major Character Death (I'm all for the angst, but I do like to keep it within reason.)

- Sexual Assault and its Aftermath (Mentions are fine, processing is fine, and even dubcon is fine, though that also depends heavily on the implementation. But outright noncon is a nope, and the "comforting afterwards to getting together" narrative pipeline I've seen elsewhere is not something I want.)
