Heres a non-anon question. Once Reylo is canon and goes more mainstream, do you think the shine of the ship might fade? Like achieving the most difficult of goals but then having nothing else to aim for.
Nahhhhh~ IF Reylo is canon (I am very wary of saying ‘once’ because that might just blow up in our faces) I think that only opens the door for bigger and better things. It means a story to be told past this current trilogy, which, to me at least, is just as exciting as the will they/won’t they. I don’t think a relationship exists within its own vacuum. There are just as many outside sources of conflict and motivators that exist within the story that can determine how that relationship goes, and that’s a big part of the excitement to me. And to those who just sort of reach the goal and go “well now what?” there’s a whooooole fandom they can indulge in with AUs and art and all the other nice things we make to keep their excitement going. That’s just my two cents, though.
