So the guy at the end of last episode, could be the return of Derek who Rose killed but was never shown. Maybe he didn't die since this is a telenovela style show. As well he could be connected to the guy Rose killed in the premiere and totally remember an interview that mentioned his death impacts every character somehow. A part of me thought it could be Michael but the actor landed a new show unless they replace him soap opera style. lol. I can't wait till Friday.
Yes! Brett landed a role in History Of Them, with Gloria Calderon Kellet which I’m extremely excited about!
I really do think its Michael. That’s the only person who can impact every character on this show (except for Petra maybe because they were never really close after S1 or even interacted after S2.) Derek doesn’t make sense especially now that we know Rafael wasn’t related to any of them which makes Derek absolutely nothing. The only way Derek would be relevant is if he put Rafael in jail again or the money he stole (I can’t remember if it was recovered) appears again. Aside from that what claim does he have? Chuck owns the Fairwick so he can’t do anything there. I would say Lachlan maybe but Michael Rady (the actor who plays him) hasn’t been on set. Unless of course, Scott isn’t dead. If he’s still alive then yeah I would say maybe it’s him. The only reason I’m not saying Roman is because would they really bring him back, again.
You gotta respect Jr not being jelly of Jane and Petra's relationship. In the future I see Jetra growing so much closer overtime, esp after the fallout of S4 finale. I also like the idea that when the two disagree that Jr always gives sound advice to Petra and pushes her to make the first steps. Basically Jr is a lawyer in her personal and work life. I need more domestic Jr/Petra with Jane! Is S5 ready yet? lol
I really really hope Jane and Petra do get closer. It’s the relationship we deserve. Like all my shipping needs aside, I feel like it would be such a nice thing to build and have that supportive relationship between two strong women, it would be nice to see them sort of... step over the circumstances that have positioned them as ‘rivals’ when the show started, and become more than that. I know the show isn’t lacking when it comes to female/female dynamics, like we’ve got the Villanueva women which is great, but I think it’s different with Jetra’s circumstances because they’re not family by blood, and so, it’s a whole different perspective of what family is, mixed in with a women supporting women - type of relationship... I mean. Who doesn’t want that?
As for JR and Petra, I agree. I mean, honestly though... that’s part of why they’re perfect? There’s nothing immature about JR, like... she is who she is and she’s confident, knows what she wants, and is so secure and I really feel like that’s exactly the kind of person Petra needs to be with? She’s such a no-bullshit type of person, and Petra could do with a whole lot of honesty in her life, so. I do think JR makes Petra better. And has all the qualities that would continue to... sort of foster a kind of environment that would make Petra be better without forcing it on her, you know? :) AND ALWAYS YES TO DOMESTIC PETRAMOS. PLEASE. I NEED.
I love how Rosario was casted as Jr. I hope she does an interview or JTV talks more about getting her on board. Also for Petra's love interest they had to get someone as beautiful, amazing, talented and fun as Yael. They casted Jr perfectly. The two vibe. I cannot see anyone else take that role.
Me too! I mean they’ve done a couple of interviews with other minor characters like Krishna, so we can def hope for one with JR. It would be nice to hear her talk about JR/Petra, the lgbtq representation and also working with Yael. I completely agree though, they look really good together I’m so hearteyes!!
I need one of Petra's pickles. That is how I feel about the finale right now.
SAME lmfao
I don't think its weird just typical and cliche. I find that its common to have one gay/lesbian character not want kids. Look at Sanvers. Maggie didn't want kids. I think its odd that they decided to go with it anyway since Petra has twins but alas, I'm really sadden. I hope they decide to freshen the trope where JR actually changes her view. I get it, I don't want kids but people can change their minds too. Ugh. WHY?!
Yeah but I feel it’s still kind of weird that they threw that in because JR knew Petra had kids from the start and she still stepped into a relationship with her and also it’s more of how they had her say she didn’t like kids at the start of the episode and didn’t want to meet them at all, as if that was something final but then Petra tells her she’s important and she wants to be serious and now JR is down to meet and get to know the twins and it’s just kind of confusing and feels more like they just threw that in to create ‘drama’ but it’s drama that doesn’t completely make sense Or well, it felt so unnecessary and wasn’t even an actual hindrance to the relationship, she changed her mind in 2 seconds and tbh, I doubt they’ll touch on the subject again.
And since we’re talking about it, I’m actually kind of :\ because this is the third time that they’ve done something like this on the show... like, remember Xo didn’t want more kids, and they did the Darci pregnant SL which forced her to have to deal with having a kid around again, Chuck didn’t like kids either, and now JR doesn’t like kids too... and it’s been a trend of sort of putting those people into relationships with people who have kids. Like I get it happens irl sometimes but idk. While I like the idea of doing something for the person you love because.. you love them, I also generally am not a fan of compromising part of who you are for someone, so it’s a delicate balance and if they did it once it’s fine but JTV keeps going there with this particular topic it makes me slightly uncomfy.
I hope they won't shoot JR but they will despite there being an actual reboot of Dallas happening. If they do they better make it fresh. Ugh, I just hope they don't kill her off and that JR is recurring. Petra deserves commitment. I dislike how she often is forced to endure short affairs. Happy soft Petra is the best.
I really feel like they will end up together. I mean. I feel like Jennie actually initially planned for Chuck to be Petra’s endgame and was slowly gonna work through getting there in s4. Remember in s3′s finale, they kissed and Chuck was being all romantic and highkey in love with Petra and telling her that she would never be his second choice? I genuinely feel like she planned for that to lead somewhere at the time that she was writing it, but when the writers reconvened for their plans for s4, things changed (maybe because there has been a lot of negative reception with Chuck and Petra’s relationship?). And now that we’re in s4, it’s really the perfect time to start building Petra’s endgame because as much as she likes to put Petra through hell, I do think Jennie does plan on giving her a proper happy ending as well knowing she’s become such a beloved character. Because the truth is, if they introduce someone new in s5 to be her endgame then it’s going to feel rushed, like a band-aid they’re taping over for the sake of giving her a happy ending and that’s not going to be received well by most of the people who root for Petra too. Sort of how the narrator made that comment with Adam all, you can’t just introduce a character out of nowhere and then suddenly expect the audience to root for them! And I feel like maybe that’s how a lot of Jetra fans who also ship Petramos are feeling. Because we’ve loved Jetra as a ship since forever, whereas Petramos is good but new. So there’s a bit of this back and forth we’re feeling, but if they continue building Petramos up and showing us why they’re great and perfect for each other by letting us see them in a relationship from now until next season, then we’ll get more and more invested in them as well. So I’m not too worried about JR being temporary. It feels incredibly pointless and cruel to give us all that just to kill her off and rip happiness from Petra again.
Just reflecting on last episode and wondering if there was any other scenes with Petra cooking or lines telling us she can. Did Petra cook the borscht, for some reason I don't imagine her telling the cooks to do it. She brought it in the pot so that indicates she might have cooked it herself. I vision her doing it growing up for Magda and her. More domestic and cooking Petra. It was cute to see.
Not on the last episode, but she did march into the Villanueva home just very recently to cook a traditional Czech breakfast for brunch, so. Yes. I think she made the soup. But yeah, I actually see a lot of people assume Petra can’t cook, which never really made sense to me? I know she doesn’t need to cook anymore now and we never see her do because she has a hotel and there are people who do the cooking for her, but growing up she had nothing. Not to mention there was a point when Magda was fake in a wheelchair, I really doubt she was doing the cooking for them at the time so it was likely Petra. Especially since it’d be less expensive to cook than order out and they were broke af so... I mean yeah, I’d assume Petra would know how to do all the household chores, etc. including cooking food..
