i hate saying this because i don’t want to be a douchebag but with the way The Adventure Zone works, the story unfolds over a long period of time, unlike movies, shows, and games that might come out sooner or all at once. So you guys really have to keep in mind that from beginning to end, your headcannons and personal interpretations about a character may be wrong. The Mcelroys don’t have any obligation to make your headcannons or pairings cannon. I’m seeing people genuinely upset because they thought Minerva was a lesbian and Duck was gay (they can be bi) and were upset because they saw their relationship as copping out, but the characters are whatever their creator wants them to be from the beginning, and we don’t have a right to get mad when they make decisions for what that character wants and likes. Indrid Cold is the best example of this. Overall, he had a very small role in the story as a whole and didn’t end up participating much. But everyone had this huge indrid/duck facination, despite the fact that they had barely really interacted (this in itself isn’t the issue). Now everyone’s saying “What about indrid/duck??” but you guys invented that, not Griffin or Justin. They don’t have an obligation to do what you want them to do. Danbrey has such little onscreen development and you guys are fine with it, Duck and Minerva actually have a pretty great base for a relationship after everything. Let’s just let the boys play the game!
