I don't think I shared these from the amazing 1709 gilded cooper mask made by Johann Melchoir Dinglinger for Elector of Saxony and King of Poland Augustus II the Strong for a court event that he called inventions. Truly a stunning piece to see and to gaze through as well. Currently at the Met in NYC @met-european-sculpture

Johann Melchior Dinglinger: Elephant, c. 1710. The elephant measures 13 × 12 × 17 cm. It is made of cast silver, partly gilt, with emeralds and diamonds. The plinth is chalcedony. It was a birthday present to Duke Frederic II of Sachsen-Gotha-Altenburg from his wife Augusta. Johann Melchior Dinglinger was the duke's court smith.
