guess who met travis mcelroy today!! this is a little steven that i made and gave him, plus the dice. the steven is almost entirely freehand, and i’m super proud of him! he turned out really well!! and i might have to make another one for me... i miss him already
so YESTERDAY i saw travis at the first 5 minutes of the con, was so surprised to find him just there that i panicked, walked around the con floor to calm down, and came back to find his table empty, which it remained for the rest of my visit that day. WHOOPS.
i ended up coming WAY TOO FUCKING EARLY today to make EXTRA SURE i met him, which turned out to be unnecessary but man i never would have forgiven myself if i wasn’t able to meet him because i chickened out. but i did today anyway, so all good.
at the q&a and me meeting him, travis proved himself to be just a super sweet dude, which should shock nobody. he even asked before putting his arm around me for the picture, which is such a low goddamn bar but hey, as long as men keep limboing under it...
he said he liked my ‘magnus rushes in’ shirt when i asked a question during the q&a (if he listened to audio dramas--the answer was ‘not as many as he would like’); he loved the steven and the dice; he remembered the dice bag i made him last year (he and bebe both loved it!); and he said my voidfish tattoo was ‘gorgeous’. just a really nice guy!!
