Quick Banana Foster Dessert-Easy & Delicious Treat
This Peach Tart is a delightful summer dessert that showcases the natural sweetness of ripe peaches in a buttery, flaky crust. It's perfect for any occasion, whether it's a casual family gathering or a fancy dinner party.
Ingredients: 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour. 1/4 cup granulated sugar. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cut into small pieces. 1 egg yolk. 1 tablespoon ice water. 3-4 ripe peaches, thinly sliced. 2 tablespoons apricot preserves. 1 tablespoon water. Powdered sugar, for dusting.
Instructions: Warm the oven up to 190C 375F. Pulse flour, sugar, and salt together in a food processor. Put in the butter and pulse the food until it looks like coarse crumbs. Pulse in the egg yolk and ice water until the dough comes together. Make a 9-inch tart pan with a bottom that can be taken out. Press dough into the bottom and up the sides of the pan. Place the peach slices on top of the crust so that they overlap. Melt the apricot preserves and water in a small saucepan over low heat. Cover the peaches with a brush. Put it in the oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the crust turns golden brown and the peaches are soft. Let it cool down a bit before you serve. Add powdered sugar on top if you like.
