Okay, I didn’t think illustrating dinosaurs would really be my thing but I kinda loved doing this... and I kinda loved how it came out. . This illustration is based on a claymation scene in an old VHS that my brother and I watched as kids. It was called “Dinosaur!” and was hosted by Christopher Reeve. You won’t believe how dedicated I was to google-hunting down this 80s gem (all I had was vague memories of the claymation scenes to go off of). In this part, Struthiomimus steals eggs directly from the nest of a Hadrosaur, cracks them open and messily eats the yellow goo inside. Every detail was mesmerizing. I was truly heartbroken for the Hadrosaur and this moment stuck in my mind for life. 😂 Funny, which things make an impression on children, and which details carry heavy meaning. Watching it with adult eyes is very different... and good news!
