Finally started watching daredevil

Only om s1 e4 but holy shit this is good

Primo

Mi primo quería enamorarse, casarse y formar una familia. Lo primero y lo segundo lo logró, hasta mis padres tenían la foto del casamiento en un porta retrato del living (yo jamás les podría dar semejante oportunidad fotográfica). Luego la quitaron porque mi primo se divorció, nadie sabe por qué ya que todo indicaba que era un amor maravilloso digno de disney plus. La prensa amarillista dijo que fue ella la que se cansó de mi primo, pero esa misma prensa fue la que nunca la toleró desde que fueron novios así que dudo en creerle. Mi primo quedó con su corazón roto, juró “nunca más voy a amar a nadie”, y cumplió. También se cansó del mundo, renunció a su trabajo y se fue a vivir al medio del campo para que nunca más nadie lo jodiera. Compró una parcela de tierra, acondicionó allí un contenedor y así vive hasta el día de hoy. El pasado fin de semana lo visitó mi madre, me contó que su paraíso perdido no es tal, que ahora que vive en el campo tiene problemas de campo: los animales del vecino cruzan para su predio y le arruinan las cosechas. En particular gansos y caballos. Intentó el diálogo vecinal: se encontró con 2 acaudalados terratenientes a quienes les importa muy poco el prójimo, le respondieron que hiciera lo que quisiera con su problema, porque ellos no harían nada. Amenazó con denunciarlos, ellos aceptaron su amenaza con indiferencia. En la comisaría le respondieron que tenían problemas más importantes que la falta de respeto que tienen los gansos por las fronteras internas. Mi primo tuvo que gastar un dineral que no tenía en cercar los lugares sagrados y poner un portón infranqueable. Dejó de creer en el amor, en la humanidad, en la ciudad y ahora en el campo. De esas 4 conclusiones yo llegué a las últimas 3 sin ver un solo ganso en mi vida, pero todavía creo en el amor a pesar de ver todo lo que vi. Ni loco me pienso casar pero estoy seguro de que voy a enamorarme perdidamente en la próxima orgía o entre la gente que juega con polvos mágicos en el baño de un bar una noche cualquiera. Un amor maravilloso, digno de HBO.

Saw some people on tik tok starting to relive the "Harry Potter versus Percy Jackson" conflict. Guess what? Imma give my two cents because I can and I want to.

Warning: No hate to the harry potter series! I've never been an avid fan (only watched the movies) but I enjoy the story and all. I'm just going to talk about the absolute stupidity of comparing sagas.

Harry Potter's and Percy Jackson's universes are completely different! I know that "the golden trio who has to save the world and lives in a magical place" might seem too similar, but that's literally the only similarity! And we can't even say that it was copying because Rowling does not own this trope! Besides, Percy is the only consistent main character since Annie and Grover are not working with him that often after the second book, he oftenly gets help from other people. Harry, Ron and Hermione are quite consistent in the entire series, they are the main trio the entire series.

Percy is a really different kid than Harry. Percy is inspired by Riordan's son, an actual person, a kid with adhd and dislexia who loved greek mythology. Almost everything about Percy is actually representation of an existing person (and this doesn't happen only with Percy's character) if it ends up similar to Harry what can we do? Rowling also does not own personalities as far as I know. I really think they are not similar, the only thing they share is being a hero, having friends and a great destiny (which is the case for 99% of fantasy and adventure heroes).

Time and placement are also important. Harry potter was published by an english woman (british? never knew the difference) in the 90's. Percy Jackson was published by a man from the United States in the early 2000. Do you see what I mean? Different context, they wrote the stories in a different time period. Rick was a writer for young adult novels and decided to venture on teen audiences because he wanted to have his son relate to a hero. Rowling already started on the teen audience, but viewing the 90's kids. Maybe he got inspired by her work, but let's not forget the inspiration Rowling got from Lord of the rings.

Last point: you can enjoy both series without comparing them. There is nothing wrong with liking both. Riordan didn't ruin any fame for Rowling (she did it herself) and she surely didn't ruin his popularity. There is no need to hate any of the book series just to make one of them superior (you can dislike the author though, that's personal and I respect that). Criticizing is allowed and encouraged, but don't do comparative observation if the two book series aren't similar.

Please let this be real, I need some new Star Wars content and I need to know if Temuera Morrison is playing Rex and Boba as Ahoska is semi confirmed as Dee Bradley Baker said he can’t wait to see her in Season 2. Also I want more Baby Yoda and Din Djaren
