When I'm writing, it's as if I'm setting words and music to the film I'm watching in my head. It's a declaration of love, yes, but not always to someone specific. Before I watched the Get Back documentary I kinda thought people bigging up John and Paul was just your standard "the lead singers get the most attention" bias. I gotta say, I still love Ringo and George, but after watching that documentary I'm just in awe of that chemistry John and Paul have. When they're writing music together it's like they're speaking their own language, it's just insane how clearly you can tell that they've been writing songs together since they were kids. Just brilliant and instinctive and effortless. It's magic.
