audeshebba: At this time last year I was in Guadeloupe shooting the show DIP for the BBC.
This experience gave a mix of emotions and I felt of course very lucky to be a part of it. The Island gave me so much love, I felt such luck to be able to live for 6 months in he infinit beauty and I think it was the best part of the experience. Then it was also of course the People I met and I had the chance to meet. Those two amazing women actresses for exemple @shykoamos and @nina.wadia. I am also thinking about my beautiful talented friend the make up and hair artist @gladysb.showclothes.
The three of us have been hurt and not well treated by a production that have betrayed our trust of being safe with them. I can only talk for myself but I can say that just after loosing my so precious Father having to deal with their behavior with a camera on my face for 6 months have been very hard. I thought of completely stop working as an actress I turned of my Instagram to heal and recover from all of it. It was the first time I was treated this way in my career. We are Women, we are not white, WE ARE STRONG, WE DON’T BAND cause we know our worth. I was very sensitive at this time regarding my loss but I didn’t let go of the injustice I’ve been witnessing and victim of and they couldn’t stand it. I couldn’t shut up, I couldn’t let it happened in front of my eyes without saying anything. All this was happening in Guadeloupe, in plus, my blood was boiling, how dare you. What did they do? They put me out of the show of course. I am still healing from this trauma, I am still furious that some Poeple choose to behave like this dispite our heavy History. Since that I heard so many stories and solid testimonies I had to make it public. It is time to really stop. I won’t stop fighting for equality and love I swear. It is just getting started.
Ladies I just wanted to tell you thank you for being brilliant and sharp and funny and loving and BEAUTIFUL. You inspire. Some can get scared and jealous of your power. I forever love you 💫🌸✊🏾✊🏽✊🏿 #womencandoanything #racism #fight #fightracism #injustice #BBC #respect #deathinparadise #Madeleine #onavance #greateful #love #change #speakup
