A PSA on Queerbaiting:
Really ya’ll, you can’t accuse someone of queerbaiting unless they have, in some way, implied they are straight and are acting gay.
Consider the following about Dip n Dot:
1. Forget what anything was said before, say, 2012. People are allowed to grow and change, and what might have been true in 2012 might not be now.
2. Dip n Dot have never said, nor implied, they are straight. I don’t get a single straight vibe from them, especially Dip.
3. Dip n Dot have never said they were gay, but in my mind they don’t have to because love.
4. To pressure someone to come out because you assume they are queerbaiting until they do so is a form of sexual harassment. Gross. Don’t do that, for yourself and everyone else. You see what happens these days to people who sexually harass. It’s ain’t pretty. It’s ugly. Don’t be ugly.
5. You don’t have to wait for verbal explanation about their relationship. All you have to do is watch, they are saying so much without saying a word. For those who won’t believe it until they actually say something, move on. They ain’t never gonna get with you.
Accusing them, or anyone, of queerbaiting without having the facts is wrong, and forcing someone out of the closet to satisfy your own curiosity is sociopathic. Bottom line, its not your business.
