Day 7: Freebie Friday - “Choice”

I’m a sucker for the red string element in manga. But what if there were scissors that could sever it?

Being betrayed by someone he trusts - and perhaps even loves- definitely sent Kieran spiraling emotionally. His actions in ID speak to me of someone who is trying to dull the intense emotions that person elicits.

Thus why Kieran has the scissors.

Sometimes I felt like the player was held back by the choices the game forced us to make. No matter how much I wanted to tell the truth, the programming forced the lie.

The choice presented here: take the “simple” way out and cut the red string and all those emotions with it, or take the path that takes more work to cut through the things that hold them back?

… I’m here for the second option.

I had a lot of fun with Dipplinshipping Hype Week, y’all. Thank you for checking out my art and writing - I’m glad you’re here and I’m glad my work has made y’all happy.

Announcement: A Wild DIPPLINSHIPPING HYPE WEEK appeared!

As you may know, the Indigo Disk DLC released on December 14th, 2023. In anticipation of the upcoming 1 year anniversary, we're banding together to celebrate the wonderful conclusion of the DLC storyline and all of the swoony & angsty moments of dipplinshipping as a whole!

This event and its prompts are based entirely on community ideas and voting. According to final responses, most dipplinshipping community members prefer to celebrate from Saturday, December 14th, 2024 (Indigo Disk Anniversary Date) to Friday, December 20th, 2024.

Event Guidelines:

Any art form is welcome. Whether you want to draw, paint, write, create music, or so on - we love and encourage it!

Participation is entirely up to the creator. While the official start and end dates of the celebration week are outlined, you are more than welcome to release submissions at your own pace and liking. If you only want to do 1 or 2 prompts, no worries! If you want to do all 7, have at it! Just make sure you're having fun. :)

Please mark your content accordingly and remain mindful of community safety and comfort. I plan to promote all content that is created for this event, but will not be promoting inappropriate themes (e.g., NSFW, violent/graphic content, inappropriate treatment of minors or pokemon, or any other related themes that may be questionable or discomforting). Off theme submissions will also not be promoted (e.g., OC shipping).

I reached 200k words overall in Azure Dive, and I'm amazed at myself over how much work I've been putting into this for the past year and a half now give or take.

But I couldn't have really gotten this far without people commenting on it which greatly boosts my motivation to keep going. Thank you guys so much for that!

Thank you so much to everyone who encouraged me throughout this week. I had a lot of fun writing these silly little stories, and I hope you enjoyed reading them! These two dorks mean a lot to me, and so do you all! I have more planned eventually, but I'm going to be taking a little break for Christmas.
