First of all, you act as if LJ is able to be completely separated from core aspects of his character. Aspects that include "child murderer" and "Enjoys everything that his first owner, Isaac Grossman, likes". If you enjoy LJ, cool! Chill! Good for you! But don't act as if he's completely different from Offenderman. He still targets and causes harm to children in his OG canon. Second, you act as if LJ is able to be completely separated from his creator. When no. He isn't. He is a character meant to indulge in a gore fetish, and if you read his story, there is no denying that. He is a gore fetish character. One who's creator has victims, victims that likely have to avoid Spirit Halloween because of the Laughing Jack Masks that are able to be seen there. Victims that likely can't indulge in creepypasta the way they used to because a key fandom favorite was created by their abuser. Again, if you enjoy LJ despite that, I understand! Good for you, you're on par with every person that still listens to 'Don't You Dare Forget The Sun'! But he's still the product of his creator and will forever be linked to his creator. Third, and finally, even if you ARE able to separate him from his creator, and you ARE able to change core aspects of his character because he has an interesting design and other interesting aspects of his character, why can't you do that to Offender? What's stopping you? What's the difference? If you can change LJ so that he no longer is a threat to children to explore his character, why can't you change Offender so that he is no longer a threat to children to explore his character? Either accept that LJ is a bad person and you like a morally corrupt character, accept that Offender can be characterized differently if one so chooses, or accept the fact that you are a hypocrite.
