Director Kang doesn't know that they went out on a girl's day but she's very aware of people's interactions with each other. She noticed the unspoken tension and distance that LS and MC were keeping and she wanted to... stoke the fires a bit. But she saw some chemistry in her impromptu photoshoot that she definitely wants to capitalise on. The drama can/will have sapphic undertones based on how you decide to interpret Deok Im's character (it won't be as blatant as Jeong Nyeon - that drama was based on a webtoon with sapphic romances while this is a new twist that Director Kang is adding). It'll be very much an "ifykyk" thing
