F2F → A Set-Up
Sugar looked into her bathroom mirror and scrunched her eyebrows. What was missing? Absolutely nothing, but she just had this feeling that she needed something. A lightbulb went off. Lipstick. Sugar rummaged through her makeup bag and found her favorite, light pink lipstick. Quickly applying it, she checked the time. It was 6:57, and she had a date at 7:30. She didn’t know the guy, but her co-worker claimed that he was great. Sugar thinks that she was mainly set up with him because they were “both from the midwest”, but she kept an open mind. He was creative, so she was told, just like she was. After putting the final touches on her makeup, Sugar picked up her keys and walked out of her apartment. She wasn’t sure where to go as she had never really heard of the restaurant before, but the directions given to her were direct to say the least. To her relief, it was a short walk from her apartment building. The restaurant was small, cute and a little intimate with the candles at various tables. It wasn’t crowded, but it wasn’t empty. The hostess was able to sit Sugar right away, and Sugar waited at the table for her blind date. Looking at the time, Sugar realized she was very early, but she never liked being late.
