one of my favorite things about dirkrose is that there's no reason their vibes have to be this incestuous. sure, technically they're genetically related, but they have no real preexisting relationship with their respective universes' versions of each other. to rose, bro is just her friend's weird guardian who she's never met. alpha rose is even more distant to dirk, just a legendary historical figure that his friend idolizes

My problem is that I find that scene from the epilogues where, after Dirk uses his power on Rose when she disagrees with him, he goes on about how she's just soooo charming and smart and just starts nervously squirming like a kid with a crush while still maintaning that he won that argument and just generaly acting like a teacher to her 1000 times more interesting and compelling than the fanon version of their relationship where its mind games between two equally genius people struggling for power
