I still don’t get how exactly Dirk is supposed to have ruined Todd’s life ( acc to season 1 Todd at least ). I mean…it was a time loop, right? Patrick Swing was going to die, there was nothing Dirk could do to change that. Todd was going to find the murder scene, he was going to lose his job over that anyway. And he’d already been lying to Amanda for years. Dorian was a violent thug who tried to murder Todd and accidentally ended up offing himself. So that’s how Todd became homeless. The worst Dirk did was lie to Todd, but most people would hesitate to bring up time travel around their new bestie. You could say Dirk …ruined Todd’s life indirectly I guess, but he was as much a pawn in the chain of events as Todd was. More so, actually ( given that Todd lied about his parabulitis and stole from Dorian ). Not defending what Dirk did, I just didn’t get Todd’s reasoning when he says Dirk ruined his life just to have a friend.
