London Warehouse Parties Pre-Acid House: An Oral History.
The piece is a fascinating portrait of the London warehouse and rare-groove scene that emerged in the late 70′s and early 80′s, and how it laid the foundation for the acid house revolution. Lot of very wild stories and insight into the socio-economic, gender/sexuality, and racial issues of the time, as well as a large and varied sampling of the records being played. There are also some appearances from then soon-to-be stars such as Sade, Boy George, Soul II Soul, and Neneh Cherry.
Thanks to Test Pressing for the heads up.
