Yesterday I did the Dirty Dash with Rory and some girlfriends of mine.
It was originally just going to be me, Rory, Kim, and Kelly but then Crystelle asked me to join her and Rebecca’s team. I told her we already had a team but would love for them to join us, so while they stayed their own team we all ran together and had an amazing time!
Kim just turned 50 and wasn’t sure she had the physical strength required to do it (she totally rocked it!) and Kelly has a bad hip and wasn’t sure she’d be able to finish without being carried and SHE KILLED IT!
I adore those women and I’m so freaking blessed to have them in my life. I’m 15 years younger than Kelly and 19 years younger than Kim and I have no idea why they keep me around but we’ve been soul-sisters for 9 years so I guess they’re stuck with me at this point.
After the race I took my kids to Sam’s son’s 5th birthday party. It’s funny because our boys are less than 2 weeks apart and have the same name. 😂
Today I watched her Liam for about 8 hours and we went to the park, got ice cream, and then spent 2.5 hours at the lake for one of Jennifer’s friend’s birthday party. Fun was had by all! Poor Liam was not happy when I dropped him off at home and did not want to leave. Sam bought me fireball cotton candy as a thank you. 😁
Tomorrow Rory has to run to someplace past Seattle (6.5 hours away) and wanted me to tag along so by some miracle I have an amazing friend from gymnastics (she’s my gymnastics bestie) that is taking the kids all. freaking. day tomorrow AND can get Nikki to class! We’re dropping them off at 6:30 and my kids are super excited because their pool just got finished and they’ll get to swim in it. It really does take a village to raise kids and I’m so thankful for all the people in my life who love me and my kids well.
