it was just another night at the club, she thought. she had already been on stage tonight, having just gotten off, so the rest of it would be spent working the floor and/or with dances. this wasn't the life that nicola had always lived, but it grew on her. she was still able to live with luxury, though it was nothing like before, and she got to be in control of herself. she sat in front of the mirror to touch up her makeup and hair, the finishing touches that always gave her that extra wave of confidence. a few short minutes later, she made her way back to the main floor. it wasn't slow, but there was a steady flow of customers going. a couple of people noticed her from her set, but it was nothing more than just talks and praise. she appreciated both, just not during working hours from the average-looking joe. nicola strutted towards the bar, seeing a few new faces, and decided to get the rest of the night started. her and a couple of the girls stood and talked, his eye seeming to catch hers each time she looked over her shoulder. he stood out to her, besides the fact that he was the best looking out of his group. grabbing the pair of shots the bartender poured her, she walked right over to them. she wasn't shy, nor was she scared of approaching someone first. this line of work didn't allow for it anyway. “you want to take this with me? maybe it'll help you finally say hi to me,” she offered, a playful tone in her voice.
