This is kind of not a question but yesterday I went to megacon in Birmingham uk, and Warwick Davies and both his kids were special guests, I saw Warwick himself on his scooter thing briefly and answering some fan questions, and i also was walking behind his kids and the event organisers for a short time, ig they were doing a panel or something, and I was just browsing the stalls. Kinda wanted to say hi, but I didn't want to bother them, plus im not really a huge fan like you are. I like Warwick Davies in the things ive seen him in, but tbh i only know of his kids bc ive seen him with them, even though they are both actors in their own right. Anyway, I can now sorta say ive met Warwick Davies, even if we didn't interact and we were about 2m from each other, but hes still the most famous person ive seen irl. Thought that might be a fun tidbit. I hope he comes to a con near you soon, bc I did think of you when I saw him, and had I not been so tired I was gonna ask if you wanted me to ask him anything at his panel
Hello!! Wow I'm so jealous!! It's true, I've been a fan of Warwick's for most of my life, starting when I first saw Willow (1988) as a child. He's done so much in the world of fantasy since then and I can say I've adored nearly every role he's done (apart from the Leprechaun movies, which I found rather spoofy). If I had the chance to ask him some questions, they would be:
It's true you've filled some amazing roles in the fantasy genre, but would you ever consider stepping outside of it in film? What is a role outside of fantasy you would want to fill?
How do you feel representation has changed for little people, just within your time acting? What stories do you envision being told in the future?
In what ways have you been accommodated for on set? What knowledge would you pass on to directors and crew who've never worked with little people before?
How do you physically prepare for roles as a little person? Are there extra steps you take that your average height counterparts do not?
Where do you see your career in ten years time?
Gosh and so many more - I would jump at the chance to have a discussion with Warwick Davis!!!
