#disappearing post

Tumblr has been my home base for the last 10+ years, and in so many ways I love it and it feels like home, but I've always been a bit dissatisfied with its limited ways of presenting text/images. This is one reason I have several different blogs. Recently, are.na came on my radar. I'm considering moving all my art as an archive to that or something similar, but keeping this as my main blogging/sharing platform. (As you store more things, you have to pay for it, but I might be willing to do that. Frankly, I'm tired of being the product of these platforms and would rather be a customer.) If I do that, I'll post the link here for the five or so of you who care. Anyway, I'm working on a bunch of stuff in the background. Soon I'll post selections of it here and to @licentiamovendi. Trying to move "at the speed of life," as the great Cecil Touchon recently wrote, a phrase I've been mulling over.

Hmmm. Spent half the evening shooting and composing an eight-image post with text, posted it, and poof, it disappeared into thin air ... doesn't appear on either desktop or mobile app. That's a first ...

It wasn't going to be a great work of art, anyway, so no biggie. We must, as the British say, "get on" ...

(Another one of theirs l like: "We must begin as we mean to go on"--meaning, apparently, "we should start at the level that we intend to maintain" ?)

Alright. It's getting creepier. The post of the photos of me disappeared from my blog (mobile version) completely. Can other people still see it? It's still showing as an anon post on my dash...

disappearing blog post

So, I just did this massive text post on why feminism is important, and what it means to me, but now it's just disappeared. 

Not sure where it's gone, but I am a bit disappointed. 

I got quite emotional in what I wrote, and it meant a lot to me, and now it's gone. Just like the rights of women all over the world.

Prompt(ed)

I found a stunning prompt a while back about how a user is sick of people in fanfic describing Sam and Dean's souls as the most beautiful souls Cas/Gabriel/other angel has ever seen and how they'd rather their souls be broken and marred and ugly. How they aren't stunned by the light from their souls, but by the miracle of them, the miracle of the boys being relatively good despite the darkness inside them. I saw it months ago and I can't credit the person who came up with this because I can't find it ANYWHERE! If anyone knows who wrote the prompt, please help me find them. Cuz I really want to write for this. It rings too true to ignore. And I don't want to use the idea without crediting the person first.
