Tumblr has been my home base for the last 10+ years, and in so many ways I love it and it feels like home, but I've always been a bit dissatisfied with its limited ways of presenting text/images. This is one reason I have several different blogs. Recently, are.na came on my radar. I'm considering moving all my art as an archive to that or something similar, but keeping this as my main blogging/sharing platform. (As you store more things, you have to pay for it, but I might be willing to do that. Frankly, I'm tired of being the product of these platforms and would rather be a customer.) If I do that, I'll post the link here for the five or so of you who care. Anyway, I'm working on a bunch of stuff in the background. Soon I'll post selections of it here and to @licentiamovendi. Trying to move "at the speed of life," as the great Cecil Touchon recently wrote, a phrase I've been mulling over.

What Lights (2012) is an album by Dowsabel, the electronic/ambient musical project from c.r.e. wells.
The link is to a piece of drone music from the album What Lights called "Tasker Road." Not timely, since it's almost 15 years old, but I've been thinking about this piece recently. It's better than I remember, but just as melancholy.
I contributed excerpts from my long work-in-progress to Emanations 12. Note from the publisher: The twelfth volume of International Authors’ anthology of fiction, poetry, essays and fine art. Here are challenging visual pieces, intriguing artists’ statements, idiosyncratic memoirs, candid academic reflections, astute poetic expressions, and cutting-edge fiction. Contributors include Wayne Amtzis, Christopher Arabadjis, Bienvenido Bones Bañez, Jr., Marleen S. Barr, Olga Belsky, M-A Berthier, Andrew Braunberger, Michael Butterworth, Ana Cameron, Daniel de Cullá, Andrew Darlington, Tessa B. Dick, Isabel Gómez de Diego, Jeffrey Falla, David Flynn, Jean-Paul L. Garnier, Oz Hardwick, Mack Hassler, Horace Jeffery Hodges, Darwin Holmström, W. Scott Howard, Gareth Jackson, Shashi Kadapa, Carter Kaplan, 怪獣小僧(Monster Kid), Richard Kostelanetz, Said Leghlid, Jardine Libaire, Tom McKee, Nobuhiro Mido, Ian Miles, David Nadeau, Vitasta Raina, Dick Rampen, Leo Rampen, Elkie Riches, Hugh Macrae Richmond, Marielle Risse, Dave Shortt, C.R.E. Wells, Edward Wells II and Antony Williams.

DEADLINE
For anyone who still follows me that enjoys my work and is not a robot: I created a new blog, @licentiamovendi, that is intended to be my glitch/digital sketchbook, and my main blog, @faintpress will go back to showing primarily works rooted in mixed media works and poetry/prose. So, if you care to, you may follow that blog as well.
