Ya know it’s occurred to me that one of the biggest signs that c!Dream’s motive wasn’t control and power over the server is the fact that c!Dream and c!Techno remain on fairly decent terms throughout the story. The fact c!Techno, the anarchist isn’t c!Dream’s #1 enemy says it all. I think it’d be a mistake to call c!Techno stupid, so if he really was motivated to keep the world rid of harmful hierarchy and government, but didn’t actively hunt c!Dream down, then doesn’t that showcase how c!Techno didn’t really see c!Dream as a threat to his ideals of anarchy and therefore didn’t think c!Dream’s motives were control and power over everyone.
Like sometimes one of the most obvious clues of a person’s character is who their friends and enemies are. C!Dream’s enemy wasn’t the anarchist trying to free people from oppression and the corruptive power of government, it was the power hungry. The elected dictators, wardens, and presidents forming nations and countries so they could be on top. The same people who are c!Techno’s biggest enemies… it’s just kinda interesting how c!Techno even went after c!George because he was a king and yet didn’t really see c!Dream as an authority needing to be taken down…
If c!Dream’s plan had been to control and have power over people, then c!Techno would’ve been first in line for his head, leading the charge in the disc confrontation not absent…
