We all know how much I love Basil of Baker Street, and recently, I had a burst of inspiration while looking over the books. I thought, how cool would it be to see renditions of the cover art featuring the Disney versions of our famous detective and his trusted associate? Excited by the challenge, I decided to go for it and began sketching out ideas.
The first Great Mouse Detective book to get this Disney-fied cover redux was **Book 5 - The Great Mouse Detective: Basil and the Lost Colony**. I think it turned out pretty darn good! Initially, I considered giving them winter clothes but decided against it this time around. However, there will definitely be a wardrobe change for the next image. I’m thinking of tackling "Basil in the Wild West" next.
