Second star to the right and straight on till DAPPER DAY
Oh what’s a girl on the run to do without someone to lug around her luggage? 😌
Took some photos for my sister at Disney’s Dapper Day.
Next week on Supernatural tune in for a very special program; the Supernatural cast will present to you Dapper Day!!
Sorry I haven’t posted in a while. Here’s my dapper day outfit: 1940′s european DB pinstripe suit.
Here is my Loki inspired Dapper Day dress I wore this weekend to Magic Kingdom!!!!
When I heard that Dapper Day was a go for me, I went on Amzon, furiously trying to put together an outfit for Dapper Day. Lady Loki won on my story poll on Instagram. I went to work wading through Amazon Prime for items. After everything was in the cart, it was over $100, but I wasn’t about to spend that much money. As a cosplayer, I have accumulated a ton supplies over the years and I love being able to pull stuff like this literally out of my ass.
Originally, I wanted to make the dress entirely out of the green dupioni but I only had two yards of it. So, I dug out my left over Gentiana fabrics and patch worked the whole thing together. The only thing I am waiting for is my new belt. I am even reusing a pair of velvet gloves I made a million years ago for my Aion Cosplay. It has two left thumbs. Lol. I was trying to keep it as 1950s as possible and to pull the whole look together, I wanted some costume jewelry. I had the hardest time trying to find anything that was gold and “Loki” green. So, when you can find it, simply make it. Lol.
For my hat, I didn’t have any buckram to make the base so I improvised and used worbla instead. I didn’t have full pieces of worbla either. I ended up piecing scraps of it together to make a full sheet. This whole dress is about reusing supplies! It took me a little bit for get the outer fabric right since it has to be the perfect fit for it to sit nicely. The horn was made on a whim since I felt Loki is not loki without the horn. In retrospect, I could have sculpted it out of worbla. Oh well!
Total cost: $40ish with all of the accessories. The best part about this dress was when everyone screams out LOKI!!!! After realizing who I was.
My look for Dapper Day on Sunday
Let's do a fun throwback to the last 2 (which also so happened to be my first 2) Disney Dapper Days at the Dapper Day Expo!!! I'm heading there again in April so that should be both exciting and wonderful!!!!
