📝 It only took us not being Annual Passholders to finally visit River Belle Terrace 😂 When we were Annual Passholders, and with the fact that we run a food blog and all, we had a (loose) goal of trying every restaurant inside the Disneyland Resort theme parks (within reason) 💭 It only seemed fair to try everything Disneyland had to offer ☺️ but unfortunately that's just one goal we didn't have the chance to complete during our time as AP's 😞 At least we were able to make up for some shortcomings during our last few trips ☝️ When we first became passholders, River Belle Terrace didn't really have much (besides iconic breakfasts) to personally entice us 😅 and then in recent years it got a menu refresh that somewhat helped but still didn't personally entice us 😕 though we'd always heard good things about the monkey bread, of course 👍 When Halloween Time rolled around and we saw there were two interesting seasonal items to choose from, and also factoring in that this could be one of the last chances we'd have to visit for a while (plus, cute wallpaper inside that we needed to see with our own eyes 👀), it seemed like the best excuse to go. We're certainly glad we did after trying this dessert 🥰 In fact, we considered keeping a second dining reservation we had for the restaurant just to order this dessert again 😬 We ultimately decided against it, as we felt it's better to leave it for a couple who might actually want a full meal there 🍽 It's unfortunate how hard dining reservations inside the parks are to come by lately but we can understand why. The restaurant definitely seemed a little short staffed during our visit and they need to be able to provide their teams with a manageable amount of work. If after reading this review you're absolutely wanting a dining reservation for River Belle Terrace, our advice would be to stalk the dining reservations on the Disneyland website and app as often as you can 🕵️ Especially the day before you plan on visiting Disneyland, when people tend to cancel without fear of being charged a cancellation fee. And if that doesn't work, this location does thankfully offer an in person and virtual (app based) walk-in list. And if you're just going for this dessert, we recommend visiting early ☀️ Our lunch reservation was at 12:30 PM, we ordered this shortly after and our host informed us that he'd get our order in right away as they were already expecting to sell out of the monkey bread shortly - for the rest of the day 😱 Madness! But again, after trying this for ourselves, we completely understand why 🤤 Warm, spiced, doughy goodness ❤️🔥 The perfect fall dessert 🍁 When we referred to it as "pumpkin monkey bread", our host was quick to correct and inform us that it was pumpkin SPICE monkey bread 😙 And we can understand why he did so 😆 It's covered in that custard-esque pumpkin sauce that's absolutely delightful 😚 and very much reminded us of the pie filling our mom uses for her pumpkin pie 🎃 So maybe we have a slight bias when it comes to this dessert 🤣 This was so good, we scraped the plate clean 🥄 and if we had no public decency, we would have licked it dry 👅 We felt the portion size was perfect for the two of us, though naturally it is a carb heavy dish 🤰 And the cherry on top? Because we paid with our Disney Visa credit card, they took 10% off our total bill 🙌 While there's only a handful of restaurants that offer this special discount it's nice to know we can still get some kind of discount without being annual passholders anymore 😎 If we haven't convinced you already and you're still wondering whether this is something you should try, we'll end with this - If you love the flavor of pumpkin pie, you do not want to miss out on this dessert 🙇🏻♂️🙇🏻♀️ and since we're on tumblr, we can say this much - it's a pumpkin wet dream 💀🙈💦 Without a doubt, this is one of THE best dishes we've had in all of our six years of visiting the Disneyland Resort 🔥
