The Next Victim of the Disney XD Purge could be Disney XD Europe Middle East And Africa many channels Specially Disney XD UK. The latter has moved all XD shows like to Disney Channel while Africa hasn't updated Disney XD's programming possible for Marvel HQ thanks to Germany  since Germany is attached with EMEA and XD's Germany channel changed to Marvel HQ also Africa hasn't updated the Disney XD YT Channel since July and many shows from Disney XD YT have moved to Disney Channel YT Channel In the next 2 months Disney XD EMEA will air a rerun of K.C. Undercover and new episodes of Furiki Wheels, 11, MML, BH6, 11, Space Chickens in Space and DuckTales.

Disney Reorganizes International Division Ahead Of  21st Century Fox Acquisition; Reveals Top Global Execs

Disney has reorganized its international business ahead of its pending acquisition of Twenty-First Century Fox. The Hollywood studio has revealed the executives from both Disney and Fox that will lead its global units.

Rebecca Campbell, who currently serves as President, The Walt Disney Company EMEA, will continue in this role with added oversight of Russia and CIS. Diego Lerner, who currently serves as President, The Walt Disney Company Latin America, will lead the Lat Am business and Uday Shankar, who currently serves as President, 21st Century Fox, Asia, and Chairman and CEO of Star India, will become Chairman, Star and Disney India, and President, The Walt Disney Company Asia Pacific.

Long-serving Disney exec Janice Marinelli will serve as President, Global Content Sales and Distribution.

No word on any departures as yet per Disney’s official announcement.

Campbell, Lerner, Marinelli and Shankar will report to Kevin Mayer, Chairman of The Walt Disney Company’s Direct-to-Consumer & International segment.

Jan Koeppen, currently President of Fox Networks Group Europe and Africa, will serve as President, Television and Direct to Consumer, The Walt Disney Company EMEA, Marina Jigalova-Ozkan, who will continue in her current role as DTCI’s Managing Director, Russia and CIS for The Walt Disney Company CIS and Carlos Martinez, President, Fox Networks Group, Latin America, who will serve as Executive Vice President and General Manager, Media Networks, North and Brazil, The Walt Disney Company Latin America.

Disney Junior Picks Up Guru’s ‘Pikwik’ for a 2019 Release Date

new animated preschool comedy is heading to Disney Junior channels in the US, Australia/New Zealand, Korea and India: Pikwik, from Toronto-based studio Guru (PAW Patrol, Justin Time, True and the Rainbow Kingdom; and Oscar-nominated feature The Breadwinner). The show follows the charming adventures of a troupe of super cute young animals.

In the town of Pikwik, every day is a new surprise as thoughtful Suki the Hedgehog leads her team, Trevor the Racoon, Hazel the cat, and Tibor the hippo to help deliver surprise-filled parcels to the colorful residents of Pikwik. The 11-minute stories are packed with silly hijinx, big adventure, and heartfelt charm that will entertain preschoolers while underscoring the value of teamwork, responsibility, and critical thinking.

Aimed at children ages 2-5 and comprising a 52 x 11’ first season, Pikwik was created by Guru’s Executive Creative Director Frank Falcone, Development Executive Rachel Reade Marcus, and former EVP Mary Bredin.

“We love the world of Pikwik. This adorable cast of characters has already inspired our team of artists to tap that innocent joy that we love to bring to our animated stories. We’re thrilled to be working with the amazing team at Disney Junior, who share our passion and enthusiasm for these characters and their stories,” said Falcone.

Guru’s long-term plans for the series include expanding this colorful, kid-friendly world into toys, apps and other consumer products to coincide with the series premiere on Disney Junior.
